With Euro 2009 been and gone, attention has now turned to the Women's World Cup Germany 2011.
International teams across Europe are playing this weekend hoping to take a step towards the finals.
England start their campaign against Malta on Sunday 25th October at Bloomfield Road, the home of Blackpool FC. Malta have already played one game in the qualifying group with a 13-0 defeat to Spain in September. Coach Hope Powell will be looking for her players to continue their good progress and get the 3 points in the bag and get of to a good start in the group.
England and Malta are in group 5 along with Spain, Austria and Turkey.
